Anne Carlsen is dedicated to helping children and adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families enjoy lives of quality and learning at home, at school, and in their communities.
We offer an array of autism services, intervention and support. Building on an impressive history—beginning in the mid-1980s— of cutting-edge care for individuals with autism and related disorders, ACC continues to be a leader in this area.
While serving individuals of all ages, ACC believes in the effectiveness and importance of early intervention to help lead to successful outcomes and make a lasting and profound impact on quality of life.

The Anne Carlsen Center (ACC) provides autism-related services, training and support to individuals and their families in the natural enviormnet of their home and communities throughout North Dakota. Our highly-trained professionals utilize evidence-based methods to maximize skill development for the individuals we serve. All services are tailored to meet the needs and goals of each person and family.
Family members are present during the evaluation to answer questions and offer insight. The team reviews medical, educational and therapeutic records, observes the child as they are playing and interacting with others, and completes an assessment. The team will collaboratively discuss their findings. Families will meet with the team on that same day to discuss the results. Our clinics are held twice a month.
Our services are designed to meet each individual’s unique needs. We will provide one-to-one programming to develop a client’s independence in daily living skills, increase communication and social skills, work with families to increase their knowledge and skills, increase vocational competencies for transition-age youth and adjust and reduce challenging behaviors. We may also focus on academic and pre-academic skills.
