Zot Artz For all

August 17 @ 10:00 am

Anne Carlsen Center’s mission is to “make the world a more inclusive place where independence is a gift to all”. So we continue to expand and enhance our services and have recently developed a statewide recreation program which includes music and the arts for all. In our effort to bring art to youth with and without disabilities, we have partnered with Zot Artz. This is a unique approach to bring creating art to all.

At Zot Artz we believe that creative expression is a primary human need, necessary for self-fulfillment and self-esteem. Art is a form of creative expression in which all individuals can excel, given the opportunity.

Zot Artz creates art experiences and art tools for everyone. We create entirely new activities for people with disabilities and invite everyone to join in. Zot Artz experiences empower all individuals to reach their fullest potential through meaningful social experiences and interactions. Artist Dwayne Szot describes himself as an art conductor, orchestrating a visual composition as children and adults of all abilities stamp and roll through the paintings. Inclusive art making offers everyone the opportunity to express themselves and make their mark. Everyone leaves with a piece of the work, with his or her own art print. Parents, friends, and family members share the experience and the joy that creating art can bring.

Your Zot Artz Experience Will Include:

  • Memorable, inclusive, and engaging activities designed so everyone succeeds at his/her own level of ability
  • Make and take and everyone contributes to the mural painting, creating their mark
  • Renowned inventor and professional artist facilitator, Dwayne Szot
  • Use of Zot Artz adaptive art tools
  • All art supplies for approximately 200-300 participants
  • Assistance in planning for virtual gallery- Photo and video documentation
