Vocational Services and Client Employment

Small Group Employment Support services provide long-term ongoing support to assist participants in maintaining paid employment in an integrated setting. Services include on- or off-the-job employment-related support for small groups of participants needing intervention to assist them in obtaining and maintaining employment as a group, in accordance with their person-centered service plan. Participants are paid by the employer for work performed in accordance with State and Federal laws.

Individual Employment Support services are long-term ongoing supports to assist participants in maintaining paid employment in an integrated setting or self-employment. This service is designed for participants who need intensive ongoing support to perform in a work setting. Service includes on- or off-the-job employment-related support for participants needing intervention to assist them in obtaining or maintaining employment, in accordance with their person-centered service plan. Participants are paid by the employer for work performed in accordance with State and Federal laws.

Supported Employment

Supported Employment is intended to provide services that lead to employment for individuals with the most significant disabilities, including youth, who have traditionally been excluded from consideration for competitive integrated employment that is individualized and customized, consistent with the unique strengths, abilities, interests, and informed choice of the individual.

Specialized Job Development and Placement

SJDP is an authorized service of Vocational Rehabilitation. The goal of Specialized Job Development and Placement (SJDP) is to assist the individual in attaining employment as identified on their Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE). These individualized services are short-term and are intended for those who require some support and assistance upfront but who will not require Supported Employment and Extended Services.

Situational Assessments

A service authorized by Vocational Rehabilitation that assesses work-related behaviors in the controlled environment of the actual workplace. The assessment results are used to assess interest in specific industries and to evaluate the amount of support that is needed to meet long-term employment goals.

Pre-Vocational Services

Pre-Vocational Services are formalized training, experiences, and staff supports designed to prepare participants for paid employment in integrated community settings. Services are structured to develop general abilities and skills that support employability in a work setting.

Day Habilitation

Soft skills such as social integration and communication are integral parts of any employment setting. At Anne Carlsen we offer opportunities to develop both. Individuals may participate in our Day Hab program while seeking and after finding employment. This creates opportunities for them to continue to develop their skills as they become more independent at their job.
